I have always been drawn to work centered on communication, learning, and interaction. Across higher education, tutoring, museum education, and programs serving incarcerated and other high-need communities, I design and support learning experiences that build confidence, language awareness, and meaningful engagement. My background is in applied linguistics, TESOL, sociolinguistics, and education, with a particular focus on discourse and language interaction in learning environments. I am especially interested in how communication practices, storytelling, and access to language shape participation, identity, and learning outcomes across contexts. I hold a PhD in Education from Concordia University and a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics with TESOL coursework. My experience includes teaching and instructional support for multilingual and adult learners, curriculum development, academic support, and educational programming in both formal and community-based settings.
At the center of my work is a commitment to student-centered, accessible, and responsive teaching. I am particularly focused on fostering inclusive learning environments where diverse learners can develop language skills, critical thinking, and confidence across academic and community settings.
